QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADE 11 PRE-BACCALAUREATE MARITIME SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

  1. Grade 10 completers;
  2. Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduate;
  3. Transferees from other strand (ABM, HUMMS, STEM, and GAS);
  4. Pass the MATE Entrance Examinations;
    4.1 English (Vocabulary, Grammar, Analogy)
    4.2 Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Trigonometry)
    4.3 Science (General Science, Chemistry and Physics)
    4.4 Abstract Reasoning
  5. Pass the Medical Screening
    5.1 Ishihara Color Perception Test

HOW TO APPLY (FOR PRE BACCALAUREATE MARITIME APPLICANTS)

  1. Submit filled out application form with 2 copies of 2×2 ID pictures, Admission forms and checklist of admission requirements can be viewed and downloaded at MATE Senior High School website at www.mateseniorhighschool.com.
  2. Proceed to the Admissions Staff in-charge of your application for the issuance of entrance examination schedule permit.
  3. Take MATE Senior High School Admission Test on the scheduled date, time, and venue as printed on the Test Permit. all Applicants must present the examination permit and identification card on the date of examination.

A. New Students

  1. Grade 10 Report Card (Form 138) (with Learner Reference Number (LRN) if Public Junior High School Student)
  2.  Student Permanent Record/ Form 137 if still not available
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. 4 copies of recent 2″x2″ photo
  5. PSA- Authenticated Birth Certificate
  6. ESC CErtification Letter from Junior High School Principal (ESC Grantees Only)
  7. QVR Certificate (Qualified Voucher Applicants Only)

B. Transferees

  1. Grade 10 or 11 Report Card (Form 137)
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character (Originating School)
  3. Eligibility of Transfer Certificate
  4. Certificate of Release of Voucher Program Beneficiary (Originating School)
  5. 2 copies of recent 1″x1″ photo
  6. 2 copies of recent 2″x2″ photo
  7. PSA- Authenticated Birth Certificate
